Hello my friends, it’s so good to see you again!

I’ve been here, tucked away in my studio working and teaching while also mothering, gardening, and puttering. Last time I looked up it was Christmas and now we’re past Easter and well into Spring (though tell the crazy Texas weather that can’t make up its mind).

In all my painting demonstrations, zoom workshops, sketches, and studies, I’ve collected quite the array of small works paintings (mostly under 9×12).

I’ve also had it in my mind for quite some time to offer them in some type of format…but the days and weeks go by and other things need attending.

Original Pastel Paintings

Of course, I’ve also been busy teaching online over on Patreon and for several art societies around the country and world! Recently, I hosted an IGTV livestream for Unison Colour and it was so fun to see people joining from around the globe.

A couple more things….

Youtube Videos

I’ve released several new videos in the past few months that are previously paid-only lessons for my online students.  Check them out if you have a chance!

I’ve also shared some recent Fave Beginner Products with my Instagram family and the the new-to-me Like To Know it App…have you heard of it? I’m not exactly the most fashion forward artist but this is a fun way for me to share my loves and likes with you! If you download the app, you can follow me directly and shop the sales I find! Pretty neat.

These are just a few items I really love and use in my home studio!

  1. Prismacolor Nupastels (I like the 96 set which you can find here…I’ve had them for almost 10 years!)
  2. Tombow Grayscale Markers (Perfect for testing out your composition).
  3. Pan Pastel Set of 20 (These are so fun for adding a painterly touch to your pieces).
  4. Rembrandt Dark 1/2 Sticks Set (These are great for added darker values in your sets).
  5. Rembrandt Muted 1/2 Sticks Set (It’s also nice to have some more muted colors).
  6. CarbOthello Pastel Pencils (This is the only set I’ve ever purchased and I use them often!)

I’m hoping to be here a bit more in upcoming months…sharing new paintings and projects, things I love, etc.  As always, thank you for staying tuned!

xoxo,

B
