Like the first day, we drove and drove and drove some more.  The wind grew colder, the fields dryer, the road straighter.  We still talked.  We still listened.  We only stopped for a bathroom break once.  In nine hours.  (That surely doesn't happen when kids are part of the equation).

I took pictures of Russell in the car.  He took pictures of me and my "food baby" after a particularly good lunch (and a yummy coconut meringue pie) but you'll never see those… I'm always skinny in blog pics, don't you see?

The night became part of our day and we still drove.  I took about a bajillion of these pictures.  Some long exposure, some short.  Blurred lights.  Colored discs in the night sky marking our path home.
