October has me all in a whir. I leave next week for Ann Arbor for a workshop with Artensity and then two weeks after that for a workshop at the National Arts Club in NYC (this workshop has just a few openings left! You can email here to get info My studio looks like a toddler came in and threw paintings and supplies and booklets and handouts and tools and pastels everywhere. I wake up excited to get started each day and then fall into bed late at night.
I’m so excited to travel to far-off places and teach new students and soon-to-be friends. There’s something special about the camaraderie of artists…getting together, talking supplies, and inspiration. Obsessing over these beautiful pigments we love and cherish.
Everyday, I get to meet new people and talk about art. In my weekly online classes on Patreon, here on my blog, on Instagram, and all the social medias….people are yearning for beauty in their lives and how to create it, care for it, curate it. I’m approaching my 10 month Patreonaversary! hee. In celebration, I released one of my older videos here. (I’ve gotten better studio lighting since this, thank goodness!) I’ll also be announcing my 2019 Studio Sale very soon! Last year was my first to offer this private sale and it was such a success. I’ll be listing demonstration paintings, color studies, miniature pieces, and some older work needing new homes. I will be posting a sign up very soon to be able to access the sale once it goes live (November date TBA).
So, here I go. My bags are almost packed, I’m finishing up last minute demo prep, handouts are printed and organized. I’m excited for some cool weather in Michigan and maybe some Fall color? Stepping onto a plane and to adventure and new places.
