Red Barn – 8×8 on Uart
I painted red barn like I was breaking out of a jail cell. Tediousness, fussy detail work, all that stuff that sometimes bogs me down. There is a time for delicacy and a time for patience but when you’re breaking free from a past thought-pattern, it feels so wonderful to just take off running as fast as you can. Pastels are such a wonderful medium in that there is no mixing paint time, no drying time. It is immediate. Reaching for new colors, expressive gestures. Pure freedom!xxoo
