October Fun Finds

Bethany Fields - Steadfast - 11x14

I loved painting this piece!  I had a goal in mind to avoid greens at all cost and use plenty of golds, purples, blues, and neutrals. If you follow me on Instagram, maybe you saw this come together in my “Instagram Story” which is a fun way of sharing video to my followers. If you’re unfamiliar with Instagram, it is a photo/image sharing form of social media and one that I have come to love!  You can find my page here (my “handle” is “@bfields“).

This piece is available on my portfolio site at Please email or message me for details.

I don’t know what it is about the Fall (maybe the plethora of magazines/catalogs that arrive in my mailbox), but it always makes me feel like browsing and updating my home. My fun finds list for this month includes ideas for gifts for friends/family (Christmas is looming larger and larger!).  Miss G has firmly stated she wants everything UNICORN! haha. Oh to be 10.

Terry Ludwig Umbers Pastel Collection

All of these fun things (in no particular order) are things I have used, wanted, watched, listened to, and loved.  From warm tea in the afternoons listening to the lovely Ella Fitzgerald (my middle Benjamin calls it my “old lady music”) to watching the quirky and delightful “Over the Garden Wall” with my kids.  We watched and saved it on DVR in 2014 and it is still saved!  So fun and Fallish with a wonderful story and compelling characters.  Autumn means candles on the hearth and pumpkins on the porch, the family snuggled in blankets reading and journaling and dreaming of the upcoming months.  Can’t believe that 2018 is around the corner!  Time marches on….

I have some exciting things in the works for this site and my work.  Stay tuned and as always, thank you so much for visiting!
