The Texas Panhandle is notorious for crazy weather.  Yesterday, it was 71 degrees and beautiful.  Today, I get up out of bed and it is snowing.  HUH?!  I mean, don’t get me wrong.  I love that it actually looks like November-almost-December but the sudden and complete turn-a-round always throws me for a loop.

In other news, Russell and Colin did the funniest thing for my birthday.  I had a big birthday this year – very "milestone-y" and I’m not gonna tell you the number! *wink* It fell on Thanksgiving this year and it hasn’t done that in a LONG time.  I remember it doing that when I was a little girl and then years later, leap year messed it up.  So this was the year.

Have you seen Amelie?  I love that movie – especially the part about the Gnomes.  (If you haven’t seen the movie, it would be kind of hard to explain….)  So anyway, I’ve always liked Gnomes and think it would be neat to have them dotting my garden – a little gnome family so to say.  So Russell searches everywhere to find some gnomish creatures and finally (he says after two weeks of going everywhere)  he found two.  He and Colin and Benjamin then took them everywhere to take pictures of them in different places.  At the zoo, at Hastings Music store, at Best Buy, and at Palo Duro Canyon!

They are so cute (my boys) and so are the Gnomes.  We affectionately named them "Port" and "Bello" because I’m convinced they want to tend my stone mushrooms in the garden…
