Dsc_0005cs_2 As I mentioned in my previous post on projects around the house, I’ve been pretty obsessed with colorHere is a cool color website and  here is the color page on Etsy that lets you shop by color!  This is a super-cool illusion about color.

We’ve been incorporating little new bits of color into our home and I’m really loving the emotion that it brings out in me.  I see little pieces of it and just smile!  From the bookshelves in our living room where we’ve snuggled little colorful bowls and miniature paintings.  The mixed media painting at left (in the background) is by artist Marisa Haedike.  Just love it!  I am really loving the turquoise additions – such a fun and happy and vibrant color!  I have a lot of red in the room too, and those colors go so well together.

Dsc_0008cs_1 I’ve been searching online and getting a lot of inspiration from different sources lately.  I enjoy reading this blog for all sorts of design inspiration (plus she always finds cool things I hadn’t ever seen before) and also this blog.  My friend Danielle recently started blogging again (*waving!!!!*) and posted a link recently to this blog which quickly had me drooling.  Yumsters.  I also enjoy looking at Alicia Paulson’s  blog.  She really makes me want to create and craft!  Love her granny square  afghan that she recently posted – I made one when I was on bed-rest with Colin way back when and these fresh colors make me want to pick up my crochet hook! 🙂

4f5a_1 Of course, no blog post on one of my Friday’s would be complete without me telling you about it!  🙂  I have a new show out this week on making a heritage tag mini-book!  Fun and easy project and although incorporating a few more neutrals (which *are* still colors!!), I was delighted while working on it! 🙂

Check it out and have a wonderful, colorful day!! 🙂
